WEEK 23
THE HEAD AND NOT THE TAIL

Deuteronomy 28:13
“And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath”

The Bible is full of stories of people or even Nations that were nothing at first but when they got connected to God, He lifted them up to greater status. He set them free from captivity, delivered then from bondage, freed servants from wicked masters and even elevated them to positions higher than their masters. They rose from nothing to something; in fact this is the whole story of the Bible; how God keep lifting up the down trodden (Luke 1:46-49).

The spirit of the Lord in our lives always comes to lift us up and not down when we allow Him into our lives. A young man took a new strategy and invested in stocks exchange and hit the bottom line in his finances. Devastated and confused, he began to confess the word of God “I am head and not tail”, He never gave up believing and confessing this, even though many laughed at him. He kept on saying, “I shall be above and not beneath, and many who are first will be last, and the last will be first”. (Mathew 19:30).

He committed everything to God because he believed that only God could turn things around for him. And God did just that. Not many days afterwards, there was a dramatic turn around. He rebounced to the top; his finances started bubbling up again. Friend, our God is faithful and He is always a God of second chance and a God of turnaround. Expect your own turn around in Jesus name, Amen. Beloved, when God makes you the head, you will end up on top of your circumstances. Consider the story of Joseph (Genesis 39).

Even when he was a slave, he was the head and not the tail because God prospered everything that he did. Job hit the rocks in his business and family life but as he continued and never gave up in trusting God (Job 13:15; Job 1:22). God arranged a turn around and he had double and was above again. Joseph was the dreamer who shared his dreams with his brothers.

They got jealous and arranged to kill him. They later brought him so low in life into a pit where he was even lower than the ground. But as he remains connected to God, God arranged a turnaround and he ended up in the palace of Pharaoh and was lifted out of the hole, out of the prison and into the palace, Praise God! This shall be your story in Jesus name. But someone may say; 'Ah there are times when I am up and there are times when I am down. Yet, the Bible says that I will be above only. I don´t understand this'.

What you are going through is only temporal. Keep believing that you are above only and not beneath, even when you have hit rock bottom. In fact see the bottom situation as a means God is waiting to use in order to launch you up, higher than you were before.

You know when you want to launch a missile up, It pulls a little backwards to go up higher. This is how you should see your bottom line situation. Don´t see it as the end of your life, but a launching pad to get you higher and higher. What you are going through is only temporal. Keep believing that you are above only and not beneath, even when you have hit rock bottom. It is God who always causes you to triumph in Christ (2 Corinthians 2:14).

You cannot cause yourself to triumph. Only God can, and His promises in His word that you will be the head and not the tail; above only and not beneath is what you need. So believe His word in spite of your circumstances and expect to see victory.

Thought for the day
Even when you have hit rock bottom, keep believing God´s promise that you shall be above only and not beneath.

WEEK 24
SEE YOUR ENEMIES FLEE BEFORE YOU

Deuteronomy 28:7
“The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways”.

Some people think that Jesus and the devil are always confronting and competing and fighting each other. But when we read the Bible, I didn´t see fights between the two, what we see is the devil having to flee whenever he encounters Jesus. Consider for example the demonized from the country of the Gadarenes in Luke 8: 26-39.

The demons in the man begged Jesus not to torment them or send them into the abyss, but to permit them to enter a heard of swine’s nearby. You see neither the devil nor his demons can stand before Jesus. They may be able to torment people for a while, but when Jesus shows up on the scene, they know that that is the end of their stay. They will have to flee!

All it took was just one word from Jesus, and the entire legion of demons had to come out of the man and flee into the swine. As a child of God, you exude a spiritual fragrance that evil spirits can detect and which causes them to tremble. Remember spirits do see, hear, feel and smell farther than we humans. That is why we need to start thinking right thoughts according to God’s word.

The spiritual world starts acting on our thoughts already before our action. God begins to answer you already with other things you need the moment you begin seeking (or thinking) on issues of His Kingdom (Mathew 6:33). The demons sees immediately and even from afar, the life of Jesus inside you (...Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you? (Acts 19:13-18). And ... He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world (I John 4:4). That is why no curse, spell, accusation, scandal or destruction planned against you can succeed. Your enemies may come against you one way, but the Lord will confuse them and cause them to flee before you seven ways.

Beloved when you think and believe this, that Jesus' life is in you (Christ in you, the hope of Glory. Col. 1.27) you will not feel defeated or worry again in life. Remember the victory begins from your thinking or believing (develop a victory mentality). Always think victory, think faith with positive confession (Prov. 4:23) and you will have your success (Mark 11:23-24).

Jesus paid with His life to give you this victory over your enemies. After His arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane, the Jews and Gentiles were united for the first time with one common objective; torture Jesus and have Him killed. King Herod of the Jews and Pontius Pilate of the Romans were long-time enemies, but because of Jesus, they became friends (Luke 23:12). Friend, Jesus enemies were united and had “Victory” over Him. But because He triumphed over them through the cross and rose again, today, your enemies will be scattered and you will have victory over them in Jesus Name, Amen.

Thought for the day
Your enemies may come against you one way, but the Lord shall confuse them and cause them to flee before you seven ways!

WEEK 25
GETTING FILLED WITH ALL THE FULLNESS OF GOD

Ephesians 3:19
“To know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”

If we want to experience more health, prosperity and success in our lives; God being God, has all of these things, do you agree? If yes, then to be full of God is to be full of health, prosperity and success. But how does one become full of God? Remember; (Isaiah 55:8-9) “So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts”.

We can find out this answer from God Himself through His word, not what we have heard and see others do. Many times we assume that to be filled with all the fullness of God means to fast more, pray more, speak more in tongues etc., These are also good but to be filled with all the fullness of God is not about what you do. It is not even about your love for Christ. It is actually about knowing the love of Christ! People hardly tell us that, it is all about knowing God´s love. Actually the more you know how much God loves you and focus more on this love, the more you would be full of Him.

When God made you, He designed you to run at optimal level when you are filled with His love; like a car that runs at its best when it is filled with the right kind of petrol. When you realize how much God loves you and you feed on His love, you will be supernaturally filled with the fullness of God. And to be full of God is to be full of everything God is to you and has for you. It is to be full of life, health, peace, prosperity total wellness. Also, when you are conscious of how much God loves you and you become filled with the fullness of God, what follows is the next verse.

You'll see God doing exceedingly abundantly above all that you can ask or think, according to the power that works in you. (vs. 20). You will experience the tremendous blessings of God exploding in your life! You will become a blessing magnet. So as God’s beloved, continue to be nourished by His love for you, and experience more health, prosperity and success in your life.

To be full of God is therefore to be full of God’s love in our life. The Holy Spirit who also helps us to Pray better according to God‘s will is the one who also must be involved to really remind us of how much God loves us (John 16:7-15) and at the same time, fill us with God‘s love from our inside. (The love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us - Romans 5:5).

Thought for the day
Being filled with the fullness of God is not about what you do, but about knowing how much God loves you.

WEEK 26
WHICH IS EASIER TO SAY

Luke 5:23 and Colossians 2:13
“Which is easier, to say, (To the paralytic) ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Rise up and walk’?"

"And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses".

Many of us do not understand what it actually means that our sins are forgiven and we are born again now and free to live victoriously over sin and attacks of the enemy. It is actually the greatest miracle ever. The miracle of the new Birth that began with our sins being forgiven when we repented, is greater than the power of healing our body from cancer or HIV virus. Remember Jesus healed all sicknesses and did all things well (Mark 7:37), but there was one miracle He would have wished to do but it was not possible.

This is the miracle of getting His people, the Jewish people especially and other unbelieving people that time to get to be saved (Matt. 13:58). This is because this miracle depends on them and partly on Him. Well, He had fulfilled His own part, He is willing to save them, He had passionately preached to them but they couldn’t fulfill their own because of unbelief.

Jesus, by the power of the Holy Spirit could cast out all demons in us forcefully or drive out the hardest sickness in our body but when it comes to forgiving our sins, it involves our willingness to submit and believe. So from what we saw above, this can be hindered if we don´t comply by believing. This is why it is the hardest miracle and why it is the only thing Jesus could not do.

I know that if we are asked like the Pharisee “Which is easier to say, your sins are forgiven you, or to say; Rise up and walk (Luke 5:23)? We may quickly say the former; your sins are forgiven because it may take more faith to believe this than getting a lame man to stand up. Whether we see it that way or not, our faith is easier when the matter is easier. We are likely to believe on simpler sicknesses like fever than for a lame man to walk. In another direction too, the forgiveness of sin costs God more.

It cost God the life of His son on the cross to forgive our sins by shedding His blood for us. Remember the Prophets of the old were also used by God to heal (2 kings 5:7-14) but none could forgive people their sin. This has to cost God´s son to die in order to be accomplished. I mean it cost more to forgive us our sins and this miracle of salvation is the greatest. If we have experienced it, then we must believe that any other miracle should be easier for God.

In fact, if you think that there is something that God is withholding from you, you are implying that that something is greater than the forgiveness of sins which Jesus died to give you! But nothing can be greater than the perfect sacrifice. So hear the Lord telling you today, “Your sins have been forgiven you”.

You have perfect acceptance before God. Rise up and be healed! Rise up and walk in faith, wisdom, favor, protection and wholeness.

Thought for the day
Since God had done the greatest miracle of having forgiven you all trespasses, there is nothing He will not do for you.
